Caught In The Act

Ah, awkward moment in a 1970s educational filmstrip. I wonder if they ever did have that talk. I wonder how Ricky turned out after that talk.

I Wish I Was Kingston

Kingston is Gwen Stefani's 1 year old son. He has a pretty sweet life. His mom is fricken hot and has an amazing fashion sense. Gwen is still hot, but she is getting old. Check out her latest msuic video for "4 in the Morning" and look at how her neckline is starting to wrinkle. That's usually the first sign of a woman aging.

Here are some pictures of Kingston+Gwen+Gavin. They are taken from JustJared.com's article.

DivX Stage 6

The hot new alternative to YouTube is DivX's own Stage6. It provides WAY higher quality videos than all those other sites. It uses the DivX Web Player to play videos. I am going to start using more contents from there...simply because of the amazing quality. I love it.

Fab Timeeee!

A Fabolous update has been held back because the lack of information for the confirmed tracks on his next album, "From Nothin' to Somethin'". Following the first single "Diamonds on My Damn Chain" featuring Young Jeezy, I guess it can't wait any longer as his second single is already coming out, It's the hot hot hooooot "Make Me Better" featuring Ne-Yo. The single is soooo good, it's ridiculous! I will try to post an update once I get more information and package all the songs I've got so far. For now enjoy the video for the first two singles.

Back to the Ne-Yo

So after a long absence of Ne-Yo posts, I have return with that latest video for his second single from the album "Because of You". It is one of my favourite song on the album "Do You". In the video, it continues the story line from the first video for "Because of You". This was good because it clarifies the ending of the first video. I hope the next single is either "Make It Work" or "Go On Girl", but more likely something more upbeat like "Crazy". The chick in the video is only alright...

Paintball Rampage

I never really enjoy watching Cheaters, and this episode really sums it up. Guy gets caught cheating on his girlfriend with her best friend. The camera crew really piss the guy off, so he started going on a rampage with his paintball guy. THAT is intense.

I've heard how the host once got stabbed by a cheating boyfriend because the host was really pissing the guy off. I think paintball gun sends good enough of a message. (side note: NOT that I'm encouraging cheating behaviours, but his girlfriend's best friend is pretty cute)

*Updated: The host DID get stabbed. This is hilarious. I'm a horrible person for enjoying this.

Buffalo vs. Lions vs Crocodiles

Lack of update cause I've been trying to finish my internship report, but here is another nature post. It is a pretty intense battle going on.

I can't believe the lions got owned nor how the baby buffalo survived it all.

Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad Leaked

So the album originally was set to release on June 5 (see post), but with the amazing power of the internet, the album has leaked. Overall, the album is sounding pretty good. With producers like Ne-Yo, Stargate, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, it's guarantee to be a pop hit. It's definitely different from the island feel of the first two albums and more along the main stream of music that is popular (similar to that of Nelly Furtado, JT, etc).

So far, from the first few listen, I like most of the songs. Aside from the obvious favourites, "Hate That I Love You" and "Umbrella", the up-tempo selections of "Shut Up and Drive" and "Push Up On Me" are very catchy. Slowing it down, the mid-tempo "Say It" and especially the Timbaland/JT-produced "Rehab" are excellent listen. The second single is going to be "Shut Up and Drive". Hope you enjoy the album!

Elizabeth Banks

She might not be the hottest actress out there, but I've enjoyed every role she has portrayed. She is downright hilarious and plain delightful to watch. She might not have major roles in a lot of characters she plays, but to me, she stands out every time she is on, both with the big screen and small screen.

The first time I notice her on screen was for 40 Years Old Virgin. Then, I remember has as Betty Brant on Spiderman. When I finally saw Catch Me If You Can, her character was very cute while being tricked by DiCapro. Recently, she has been playing Dr. Kim Briggs on Scrubs and she is so funny. Even though her character is not supposed to be likeable, I can't help but enjoy her on the show. However, I'm really disliking Zach Braff's character J.D. For that matter, I can't really stand Zach Braff anymore. His jokes are getting old and his movies are only alright. Yet he gets all these attractive girls to be on his show. That sucks...o well, go back to enjoying Elizabeth Banks. So it will be my goal this summer to watch the sci-fi flick in which she stars in, Slither.

Soulful Joss Stone

I started liking Joss Stone recently because she has very soulful, beautiful voice. Since my last post was about a British pop-star, it hit me that I haven't even made a post about Joss Stone yet. With the new British invasion of pop/r&b/soul/blues singers (Corinne Bailey Rae, James Morrison, Lily Allen, Mika, Amy Winehouse, etc), it's really hard to pick a favourite one. But I think that Joss Stone can easily be my favourite because of her voice, her style and her vibe. She is also very attractive to look at because she has the cute, shy girl looks with a sexy edge to it. Also, she is only 20!

She has received a lot of criticism and controversy back in UK regarding her focus on promoting her latest album "Introducing Joss Stone" in the States and her erratic behaviours. Even though I think that the Brits are overreacting to Joss going American, I'm a bit concern about the erratic behaviours part. I mean, she is very talented, but she is also very young. I hope she doesn't go haywire and throw it all away. I look forward to more and more of her music.

The latest single is the wonderful "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now" featuring one of the greats, Common. The video is below. In the video, it seems like a first person experience of a guy going out on a date with Joss. It makes me feel like I'm the lucky guy when I watch the video. (side note: The hand that you see in the video is clearly of a black guy. So in this fantasy date with Joss, I will also have to be black.) The video is very genuine and fits the song very well. Joss also looks wonderful in it, especially when she smiles. 8D

"Spice" Girl Commercial

Saw this commerical on tv and it's my favourite Spice Girl, Baby Spice!!! She is oldddd now...well, 31? So not that old. This was weird because I was JUST talking about Spice Girl when I was taking a walk with my co-worker today. I still think she is cute.

I Wanna Be Part of the Cast of...

HEROES

or

THE OFFICE

Being part of the cast of either one of these shows would be pretty sweet. Wait a second...They are both NBC shows! Cool. Being on the cast with them would be so fun. In Heroes, you could discuss the power that you have and what direction the plot is headed with Milo and Masi. ALSO, you will be in the company of Ali Larter and Hayden Panettiere. On the other hand with The Office, you will be amongst the funny trio of Steve, Rainn and John. I could see them being hilarious on the set all the time. ALSO, you will be in the company of Jenna Fischer and Rashida Jones. I say that is pretty sweet, too.

Here are some proofs as to why it would be so fun to be on the cast:

Same Stuff But With Ping Pongs This Time

Enrique Iglesias's songs all sound the same. Even the video ideas are the same. Enrique tries to get some very hot chick (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mischa Barton, Anna K), but she is kept away from him. Same idea for this one, except it's called the Ping Pong Song because...there are ping pongs in the video and in the background!!! WOW, they are sooo smart! Song's catchy tho. Enjoy.

It Won't Be Soon Before Afternoon On Top of Long Cacoon and Some Baboons

Okay, so the actual album name is called "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" by Maroon 5. Also after a long hiatus from the music scene, Maroon 5 comes back with a new sound that also maintains their unique flavour. Adam Levine still got his thing going, but with a nice, strong change to it. The first single "Makes Me Wonder" has been doing well, so I look for this album to be just as popular as "Songs About Jane". The second single is set to be "Wake Up Call".

I still have to listen to the album a bit more to comment on it better. So look for me to update this after I get a better taste of the whole album.

Minutes to Midnight

The long awaited album "Minutes to Midnight" by Linkin Park has finally arrived! I have waited long enough for this to come that I kind of forgot how exciting this is. Some Shindoa rapping, some Chester screaming, some Hahn beating, some Bourdon druming...now, most people are disappointed with the outcome of the new album. Linkin Park is known for their nu-metal/rapping/screaming, but they have stray away from it. They have gone for a more rock/punk/hip-hop/emo influence. They are much softer, but still very enjoyable.

This album brings a different taste than whatever is out there making it unique and worth getting. The hard work of the band can be heard in the details that they've placed on all the songs. From this album, I particularly enjoy "What I've Done", "Bleed It Out", "Shadow of the Day" and "In Between". If you are looking for more rap, you can always go for Mike's Fort Minor or if you are missing out on Chester's screaming vocal, his solo album is going to come out soon. Moreover, you can always wait for Linkin Park's next album. So if you are not satisfied with this album, don't complain.

The album title is a reference to the Doomsday Clock regarding human race's approach to a full blown nuclear war. Currently, the clock is set to five minutes from Midnight which is referring to doomsday. The clock has been set forward and backward depending on world events.
*side notes: Heroes season 1 episode 8's name is "Seven Minutes to Midnight", also a reference to the doomsday clock, but with the connection to a "nuclear explosion". Interesting...

My Hero Is You

It turns out that a couple year ago before Hayden was casted on Heroes, she recoreded a song called "My Hero Is You". I did not know that she can sing. I guess she is just like those singer-actress that is everywhere now.

For those that noticed, this is the third post on Hayden after the first and second post. I understand that it will take another three months before she turns 18 and that any further admiration of her will make me a perv. Honestly though, she is too young to be too hot. Now only if I can be Hiro or Peter and move forward in time to that day when it is officially legal to say she is hot.

Enjoy the video!

Flash Mob

Found this cool new concept called "Flash Mob". According to Wiki, it's a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse. It is pretty awesome and funny to see some of these at work.

Perspective Pixel

How sick is this touch-screen! I can't wait till this type of technology is widely used.

Family Guy = The Simpsons

After watching today's episode of Family Guy, I must say that I'm really disappoint. They brought back the chicken fight, but overall, the episode wasn't that funny. Man, they are running out of jokes.

Chinese Kid Owns White Bully

This is a pretty random, but it's awesome. So here's the story, some chinese transfer kid is the target for a bully and the bully challenged him to a fight. The bully must be thinking that he is a short asian dud and can easily take care of him. Boy, is the bully in for a surprise...

Supposedly, the bully lost a couple of his front teeth after this. Daaaaaammmmnn.

Un-Air-able MythBuster Episode

Most people know about the show MythBuster, but this one is a special one. It is an un-"air"-able episode that I think should've been shown on tv for the sheer humour. The first video challenges the myth, "Do pretty girls fart?". It is hilarious. The second part is on "Can farts be lighted?". The quality of the videos are horrible, but they will still guarantee a laugh from you.

Super Power

I've always been a fan of super heroes and super power. That is one of the reason why I enjoy Heroes so much. There are a lot of super powers that I think would be cool to have - ability to stop time, walk through walls, duplications, super strength, power of persuasion, etc. I think super speed is on the top of my list of super power I want. But that is before I saw this commercial...

This power is definitely debatable to be on top of the list of powers. Now I actually think this power can be classify under telekinesis, but under the context in which it is used, I'm going to have to classify it to be unique.

Undiscovered Talent

I've been listening to too much Hip Hop and R&B in the past year. I think it's time to change it up a bit and start to listening to something different and more relaxed. In an earlier post, I had John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae featured. Following up on it, I discovered an undiscovered talent by the name of James Morrison. He is from the UK, like Corinne, and he was the supporting artist for her during her debut album tour. He is big in the UK, but has only started promoting his album in US recently. His album was re-released in March 2007 for US.

The album titled "Undiscovered" does not have a bad track on it at all. Every single song was nicely done and unique. It has a slower, jazzy, soulful sound to it, but maintains a very "white" voice to it. It's similar to the way Joss Stone, who is also from the UK, sounds soulful. It is definitely an album to listen to.
